Job Description:
Assisting team of scientists in one or some of the following areas: website design: HTML and/or CGI programming, systems administration, computer maintenance, Macs, Unix/Linux, and PCs. Visualization of numerical simulation results.
Education:
Undergraduate working towards a degree in Science, Computer Science, or Engineering discipline preferred.
Required Skills:
Experience programming and/or website development. Must have ability to work independently on focused projects. Experience in any one of the following is desired, but is not necessary: Perl, Fortran, OpenGL, programming, data visualization especially with IDL or OpenDX software. Familiarity with Macs (OS X) and Linux operating systems is preferred. Physics students with an interest in solar, heliospheric, and/or space physics are particularly DESIRED.
